Mary Mildred Martin Gomez better known to all as "Sisser", age 80, of Dryden Township, Michigan and formerly of Heidrick, Kentucky died at her home, Tuesday, October 23, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Ed and Delia Johnson Martin, born to them on February 21, 1932 at Heidrick. Along with her parents, Sisser was preceded in death by her brother, Malcolm and sister-in-law, Billie Martin.

Sisser is survived by her sons; Ernie Lee Gomez Martin and wife, Patricia of Burnside, Kentucky; Ed Gomez and wife, Sherry Lynn of Dryden Township, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Christianna Martin, Laura Martin, John Martin, Melissa Demeulenaere, and husband, Damien, Wesley Gomez and wife, Karah, Samantha Gomez, Edgar Gomez Jr. and Andrew Gomez; two great grandsons, Logan and Liam Demeulenaere; her sisters; Dora Mae Rosin and husband, Al of Michigan; Lois Burnett and husband, Clyde of Gray, Kentucky; her brothers; Willard Martin and wife, Alta of Lily, Kentucky; James Martin and wife, Helen of Heidrick, Kentucky and Ed Martin Jr. and wife, Mary Lou of Gray, Kentucky. Sisser also leaves many dear nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dan Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Doolin Cemetery at Heidrick, with family and friends serviing as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Saturday after 5:00 p.m. and Sunday after 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
