Mrs. Muriel Chance Brafford, age 89 of Indian Creek, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital in Barbourville. She was a daughter of William Joe B. and Clara Elliot Chance, born to them on December 4, 1926 at Indian Creek in Knox County, Kentucky. On November 22, 1951 she united in marriage to Raymond Carl Brafford and to this union three children were born.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Carl Brafford and one son, Denver Brafford.

She is survived by her loving children, Donald Hubbs and wife Janie of Dry Ridge, Kentucky and Carleen Farris of Corbin, Kentucky: One sister, June Griffith of Cincinnati, Ohio; Five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two special granddogs, Toby and Ruben.

Funeral services for Mrs. Muriel Chance Brafford will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. James Bargo officiating. Burial will follow in the Joe Chance Cemetery at Indian Creek with Mrs. Braffords church family serving as pallbearers.

Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2016 after 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.
