Noble Welch "Jim" Potter, age 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana and formerly of Barbourville, died Monday, November 16, 2015 in the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was a son of the late Noble and Maggie Lee Mitchell Potter, born to them on December 21, 1946 in Barbourville.
Noble was a retired Welder for the Jeff Boat Company of Jeffersonville, Indiana; and a Graduate of the Knox Central High School, where he excelled in Sports.
After graduation he moved to Jeffersonville, where he lived and worked.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Noble and Maggie Lee Mitchell Potter; his three brothers: Tony Allen, Bobbie Houston and Joe Curtis; his two brothers-in-law: James Harper and Jim Ray; and by a nephew: Glenn Houston Potter.
He is survived by his loving family: his children: Rex Allen Clark of Lexington, Kentucky; Noble Welch Potter, III. of Jeffersonville, Indiana; Antone Potter of Jeffersonville, Indiana; and Lynn Potter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
His eight loving grandchildren.
His two sisters: Dora Harper of Barbourville; and Brenda Ray of Charlotte, North Carolina.
His three sisters-in-law: Lela Potter of Barbourville; Fannie Potter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Maxine Potter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Noble Welch "Jim" Potter, will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2015 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Abner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rosenwald Cemetery in Barbourville.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Ken Frost, Butch Mays, Kenneth Hughes, Allen Bledsoe, Gary Smith and Ken Williams.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cleadous Bledsoe,Jr., Curtis Johnson, and all former Class Mates.
The Potter family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, and until the hour of Service.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
