Obituary

Norma Mills Ledington, age 64, of Boone Height, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at her home.
She was a daughter of the late John D. and Juanita Hobbs Mills, born to them on June 28, 1948 at Pineville.

On September 12, 1966, she united in marriage to Vencil Ledington, and to this union, a daughter: Sheila; and two sons: Vencil Keith and Jerry Michael were born.

Norma worked in Health Care, and was a well known and loved Care Giver; and she was a Member of the Coalport Missionary Baptist Church.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents: John D. and Juanita Hobbs Mills; Her husband: Vencil Ledington; Her three brothers: Donald D. Mills, John Stanley Mills, and Dennis George Mills; Her sister: Sharon Chance; and by her loving son: Jerry Michael Ledington on January 8, 2011.

Norma is survived by her loving family: Her son: Vencil Keith Ledington and wife, Catherine of Gray. Her daughter: Sheila Lynn Ledington Tigue and husband, Buddy of Flat Lick. Her two grandchildren: Rachel Perkins of Lexington, Kentucky, and Jack Ledington of Gray.
Her brother: Tip Darrell Mills of Flat Lick.
Her three sisters: Meriam Knuckles and husband, Solomon of Flat Lick; Cora Mae Asher of Flat Lick; and Peggy Langley of Barbourville.
Several nieces and nephews, and many other loving friends and neighbors; and by her special dog companion for over 12 years whom she called "Her favorite Youngin": Peanut.

Funeral Services for Norma Mills Ledington will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Lawson and Rev. Gene Hubbs officiating.
Burial will follow in the Trace Branch Community Cemetery at Heidrick.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: William Henry Babbs, Ricky West, Jeff Hammons, Benjie Tigue, James Smith, and Buddy Tigue.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers: Bob Smith, Ray (Bit) Edwards, Joe Mills, Luevenda (Lou) Boose, Paul Fuson, Bluegrass Hospice, her church family at Coalport Baptist Church, Dr. Paul Pedersen, Dr. David Sloan, and Dr. Joseph Valentine.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

The Ledington family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, and after 12:00 noon on Monday until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M.
