Oma Partin Fuson , age 97, of Knox County, was born November 16, 1917 to the late Flem Partin and Martha Eastridge Ballew. Also, preceding her in death were two brothers, Dan Ballew and Jim Partin. She departed this world on Sunday, June 14th. 2015 at Somerset, KY.

She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
On March 26, 1933, she was united in marriage to Raymond (Preach) Fuson who preceded her in death. To this union seven children were born. One daughter, Beatrice Fuson Mayne and her husband, Wadie , both preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons. J.D. (Bird) Fuson of Bryant's Store, Kentucky. Jim Fuson and wife Pat of Corbin, Kentucky. Four daughters, Flora Mae (Flo) Matlock and husband Jay of Science Hill, Kentucky. Ruby Pope and husband Edward "B" of Science Hill, Kentucky. Cuba Hattaway and husband Ralph of Greensboro, North Carolina. Edna Sue Slusher and husband David of Liberty Township, Ohio. Fourteen grandchildren, Douglas Matlock, Rhonda Matlock Story, and Amy Matlock Randall, Melynda Mayne Hardin, Kimberly Pope, Jerry Fuson, Thomas Fuson, Jennifer Fuson, Becky Fuson Holland, Brian Hattaway, Joel Todd Hattaway, Stephanie Hattaway, Scott Slusher and Melissa Slusher Park. Fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Locust Grove Baptist Church Carpenter, KY.
Followed by funeral service at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, June 16, 2015 with Rev. Jeff Story officiating.
Interment will be in the Wilson Cemetery.
