Obituary

Oma Brock White age 74, of Barbourville and formerly of Manchester, was born on June 24, 1944 in Knox County, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late George Brock and Drucilla Gladys Howard Brock. Oma died Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Oma was a former employee of Warners in Barbourville and was a well know seamstress at Georgia's Stitches in Barbourville.  In December of 1965, she united in marriage to Charlie White and to this union three children were born.  Along with her parents, Oma was preceded in death by, her Husband, Charlie; Son, Jeffery DeWayne White; Sister, Mary Emily Brock; Brothers, Edward Brock, Claude Brock and Theo Brock; Nephews, Brian Brock, Kevin Thomas, Joe Brock and Keith Gibson; and several dear Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law.

Oma is survived by her Daughter, Teresa Sizemore of Corbin, Kentucky; Son, Jimmy White and wife, Jill of Corbin, Kentucky; Sisters, Cleda Thomas and husband, Coleman of Woollum, Kentucky; Flossie Brock of Barbourville, Kentucky; Georgia Ann Trent and husband, Basil of Girdler, Kentucky; Nora Dell Broughton and husband, Rev. Terry Broughton of Greenroad, Kentucky; Brothers; Fount Brock and wife Brenda of Girdler, Kentucky; John S. Brock and wife, Michelle of Girdler, Kentucky and Wayne Thomas and wife, Judy of Greenroad, Kentucky; Grandchildren; Becca Clarkston, Joshua White, Christopher Sizemore and Jeremy White; Great Nieces and Nephews whom Oma lovingly thought of as grandchildren; Hailey Hembree, Haydon Hobbs, Isabella Trent, John Caleb Trent, Nathan Mills and Hunner Mills. Oma also leaves Sisters-in-law, Frances Brock of Greenroad, Kentucky and Mary Brock of Northville, Michigan and Brother-in-law; Bill White of Ohio and her Aunts Nora Dell Gibson and husband Ed Wayne of Gray and Bernice Howard of London.

Funeral Services for Oma Brock White will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, April 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Rev. William Mann Cobb, Bro. Scott Hammons, Rev. Ed Wayne Gibson and Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery at Woollum, Kentucky, with Nephews, Wesley Brock, Terence Broughton, E.J. Trent, Stephen Brock, Wendell Hobbs, Brandon Mills, Kenneth  Brown, Matthew Hibbard and Haydon Hobbs serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sanford Abner, Becca Clarkston, Jeremy White, Christopher Sizemore ,Joshua White, Oma's church family at the Antioch Baptist Church and former employees of Warners in Barbourville and other beloved Nieces and Nephews. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Thursday after 6:00 pm and Friday after 10:00 am until the hour of service at 1:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
