Patricia Joann "Patty" Brown, 73 of Flat Lick , passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Barbourville on August 31, 1941 to the late Samuel and Mary Betty (Gilbert) White.. She graduated from Barbourvlle High School, and attended Kentucky State University for two years. She had been a secretary for KCEOC in the 1960's. Patty was a member of First Baptist Church, and was an avid reader and loved to knit. On September 15, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jack Harrison Brown, and to this union two daughters, Tonya and Jacqueline were born.

Patty is survived by her loving husband, Jack, of Flat Lick; two loving daughters, Jacqueline Pillay and husband, Lloyd of Barbourville, Tonya Buckley and husband, Anthony ("Tony") of Louisville,Ky, and step-daughter Shelly Newman and husband Mark of Independence, Ky, her beloved grandson, Donovan Joseph Pillay, step-grandchildren, Angelina (Blake) Montgomery, Michele (Eric) Troxel, and Devon Townsend, a step-great granddaughter, Sophia Montgomery, sisters-in-law, Janet ( C ) Pittman and Joan Harper, all of Barbourville, aunts, Dorothy Gregory and Mary Gregory of Oberlin, OH, and uncle, Ed ( Delores) White of Lorain, OH, as well as beloved cousins, Shirley Joyce, Peggy and Mayme Wallace of Barbourville, and many other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, with the Revs. John Clark and Mark Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Rosenwald Cemetery with Lloyd Pillay, Anthony Buckley, Mark Newman, Devon Townsend, Elandon Hughes , and Blake Montgomery serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Donovan Pillay, C. Pittman, Robert E. (Eddie) White, James K. White, Todd White, William (Scottie) White, Oliver White and Issac White.

Friends will be received at Hopper Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
