Patricia Jean Smith, age 58, of Barbourville, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Perry and Marie Bufford Butler, born to them on January 7, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan.
Patricia was a Homemaker, and had worked at Lee's Grocery, and Warner's of Barbourville.
On February 12, 1976, she united in marriage to Wendell Smith, and to this union a Son: Willie, and a Daughter: Laura were born.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Perry and Marie Bufford Butler; her brother: David Butler; and by a brother-in-law: Jimmy McCleer.
Patricia is survived by her loving family: Her husband of over 40 years: Wendell Smith of Barbourville.
Her son: Willie Smith and wife, Dawn of Barbourville.
Her daughter: Laura Smith Benge of Barbourville.
Her three grandchildren: Reagan Benge, Jayda Benge and Riley Smith.
Her seven brothers and sisters: Perry Butler and wife, Jill of Michigan; Donna Fulcher of Florida; Robin Tomblin and friend, Henry of West Virginia; Michael Butler and wife, Barbara of Indiana; Cathy Vitoratios and husband, Keith of Michigan; Tammy McCleer of Michigan; and Laurie Grady and husband, Tony of Michigan.
Her father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Laura Smith of London; her brothers-in-law: Virgil Smith of Taylor, Michigan; and Jerry Smith and wife, Gloria of Barbourville.
Her sister-in-law: Laquada Hampton and husband, Bobby of London; and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and dear friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Patricia Jean Smith will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery on Bargo Hill at Heidrick.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Jerry Smith, Shane Hubbs, Scotty Partin, Jeff Fisher, Eric Martin and Adam Townsley.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be all Friends and Neighbors.
The Smith family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Friday, and after 9:00 A.M. on Saturday until the hour of Service.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
