Obituary

Paul Jones, age 64, of Girdler, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Delbert and Edna Thomas Jones, born to them on April 28, 1953 at Woollum in Knox County.

Paul was a Graduate of Knox Central High School; a Member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church; and he enjoyed going to "Friends and Companions".

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers-in-law: Charles G. "Chilly" Fisher, Thomas Rose, Jr., and Richard Cygan; and a nephew: John Campbell; and a niece: Patty Rose.

Paul is survived by his loving brothers and sisters: Ernestine Rose of Corbin, Kentucky; Oleen (Jesse) Lovelace of South Lyon, Michigan; Madge Fisher of Girdler, Kentucky; Harold (Phyllis) Jones of South Lyon, Michigan; Jeanette Cygan of Knoxville, Tennessee; Irene (Harold) Goins of Corbin, Kentucky; Anna Ruth (T.C.) Delguanto of Howell, Michigan; Peggy (Jeff) Miller of London, Kentucky; Boyd (Carla) Jones of Barbourville, Kentucky; Pamela Wallace of South Lyon, Michigan; and Debra (Mike) Ledford of Greenroad, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Paul Jones will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Barnard and Greg Fisher officiating.
Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery at Woollum.

Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Grover Gambrel, Denver Gambrel, Dan Lambo, Mike Ledford, Ricky Roper, Jimmy Smith and Bobby Turtletab.

Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Nancy and Harrison Davis, Paul Baker, Jamie and Clark Mills, the Roper family of South Lyon, Michigan, Locust Grove Brotherhood, and the Locust Grove Church Family.

The Jones family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 5:00 P.M. on Friday, and on Saturday after 10:00 A.M. and until the hour of service.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
