Obituary

Pearl Spurlock Wyatt, age 69, of Corbin, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Baptist Health in Corbin.  She was a daughter of the late Charlie and Anna Mae (Higgins) Spurlock, born to them on April 28, 1948 in Knox County.

Pearl was a well known retired CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant) at the Christian Care Communities in Corbin, and a well loved Private Caregiver. She loved taking care of the elderly.  She loved to make people laugh.  Someone said it best, "There was nobody like her, I hope she's cutting up in heaven and making everyone belly laugh." She was a Member of the Barbourville Church of God.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers:  Jerry Spurlock and Bill Spurlock, and by her two sisters:  Ruby Spurlock Disney and Bernice Spurlock Pickard.

She is survived by her loving family: her three children:  Johnny Daryl Wyatt of Corbin; David Jay Wyatt and Deana Feltner of London; and Tammy Leann Payne and husband, Scott of Girdler.
Her seven loving grandchildren.
Her two brothers:  Marcum Spurlock and wife, Ann of Indiana, and Ardee Spurlock and wife, Patsy of Georgetown, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and dear friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Pearl Spurlock Wyatt will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 11, 2018 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sylvester Dunn and Bro. Samuel Lawson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lawson-Spurlock Cemetery at Gray.

Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Quinn Burns, Brady Burns, Corey Wyatt, Dalton Wyatt, Donovan Wyatt and Tyler Phipps.

Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Christian Care Communities, DCI of Corbin and a dear friend, Marietta Pennington.

The Wyatt family  will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 pm on Saturday, and on Sunday after 9:00 am and until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
