Obituary

Barbourville, Ky. - Phyllis Diane Hall Ohanian, 77, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, formerly of Barbourville, passed away July 20, 2022. She was born March 13, 1945 in Barbourville, Kentucky. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Mary Elizabeth and Theodore Lambert, her sister Connie (Lambert) Richmond and her brother Don Hall. She is survived by her daughters Lynn Thomas-Perry and Erika Ohanian, grandsons Josh (Chelsea) Thomas and Adam Perry, great grandson Benjamin Thomas, sisters Nila Hoffman, Lana (John) Stohl, Linda (David) Gaddie, Teresa Petty, and Tammy (Doug) Graham, and brother Russell (Vivian) Lambert.

Phyllis relocated to Michigan after marrying her first husband, Don Thomas but always considered Barbourville her home. She worked various jobs over the years before retiring from Delta Airlines, after over 20 years of service.  Many of those years were with perfect attendance reflecting Phyllis's incredible work ethic and strong moral character.  She was a smart, honest, hardworking woman with a compassionate heart.  She always tried her best to help people in need.  She had a strong will, a "mind of her own" and a bit of a stubborn streak  - it was these qualities that made her so special.  She will be greatly missed by all those that loved her.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Phyllis's life will be held at Hopper Funeral Home on August 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Pastor Chris Brock will officiate with musical tributes performed by Allison Williams.

The Hopper family, Victoria Hopper and Sally Hopper, along with the staff of Hopper Funeral Home express sincere condolences to the family and friends of Phyllis Diane Hall Ohanian.
