Ray Logan of Rockholds, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his home. He was 84 years of age. He was born on March 2, 1929 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Andrew and Eliza Logan. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from General Motors after 38 years of service as a welder in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ree Girdner Logan; one son, Carl Bruce Logan and wife Tammy of Miamisburg, Ohio; two daughters, Denise Logan and special friend G.W. Miller of Gray, Kentucky and Teresa DeCarlo and husband Fred of Rockholds, Kentucky; two granddaughters; two great granddaughters; one brother, Russell Logan and wife Clarice of Corbin, Kentucky; one sister, Virginia Jackson and husband Homer Lee of Barbourville, Kentucky; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Sowders officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Fairview-Hill Cemetery on Meadow Creek.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to WLJC in Beattyville, Kentucky to spread the word of the Gospel.
A Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the American Legion Post 88 of Corbin, Kentucky.
