Regina Gail Martin Sims, 55, wife of Steve Sims, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019. She was born in Barbourville, KY on January 19, 1963 to Mary Belle Lay Torres and the late Paul Martin. She was retired from the State of Kentucky. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Steven Grant Sims, Florence; her step-daughter Stephanie R. Sims, Frankfort; her sister Aretha (Leslie) Smith, Frankfort; her brother David Wilder, Frankfort; her grandchildren Connor Skaggs and Renly Ginger; and her nieces, Franchesca and Olivia.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00pm until 7:00pm Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. This obituary is a courtesy announcement by the Hopper Funeral Home.
