Robert A. Wainscott, Jr, formerly of Barbourville, KY died June 11, 2016 as the result of a car accident in Lexington, KY. He was the first son of the late Robert A. Wainscott, Sr and Jean M. Wainscott born to them on Feb. 17, 1956 in Providence, RI. He is survived by his only son, his greatest joy: Robert A. Wainscott, III; the love of his life and wife of 35 years: Denise Cope Wainscott; two siblings: Paula King and husband Terry, John Wainscott and wife Michelle; several nieces and nephews; and countless close friends who miss him dearly.
Robert "Bob" A. Wainscott, Jr enjoyed a career in construction, working at Dixon Electric in Lexington, KY. Bob had a knack for landscaping and horticulture. He was a life-long music lover and car enthusiast, but his passion was old hot rods and rat rods. He was a member of the National Street Rod Association and attended every car show he could with friends.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at St. Gregory Catholic Church on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm with gathering of family and friends to follow at the fellowship hall behind the church.
