Barbourville, Ky. – Roscoe Bingham , 57, passed away September 11, 2021. Roscoe was the son of Virgie Wagner Bingham and Cecil Bingham born to them on November 12, 1963, in Walker, Kentucky.
Roscoe attended the Walker Baptist Church as a young boy, and later in life, as an adult he attended Dewitt Baptist Church. At age 24 he was baptized on June 7, 1987, at the Dewitt Baptist Church. Roscoe was a hard worker and was self-employed for many years as a dozer operator and logger. In his free time, Roscoe enjoyed playing cards and pool.
Roscoe was preceded in death by his father Cecil Bingham, sister Patsy Bingham, brother Cecil Bingham, Jr., and brother-in-law David Baker.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his beloved mother Virgie Wagner Bingham, son James Welch (Tosha) of Road Fork, brothers, Cloyd "Dobbin" Bingham (Arlene) of Barbourville, and B.J. Bingham (Mindy) of Walker, and sister Susie Baker of Walker. Four grandchildren, Chloe Welch, Hailey Welch, Parker Welch, and Hannah Welch and nine nieces and nephews, Gary Bingham, Teresa Mills, Jennifer Daniels, Terry Bingham, James David Baker, Shane Baker, Kayla Brown, John Bingham, and Kim Philpot also survive Roscoe, as do a host of great nieces and great nephews and special pet Chaos.
Visitation for Mr. Roscoe Bingham will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM. Reverend Ken Merida and Reverend Kennon Roark will officiate with musical tributes performed by Kelli Bingham. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service in the Eli Carnes Cemetery at Walker, Kentucky. Casket Bearers are Gary Mills, Gary Bingham, Shane Baker, James David Baker, Billy Joe Bingham, Sammy Carnes, Dustin Carnes, and John Cecil Bingham.
The Bingham family extends a special thank you to staff at the ARH Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Roscoe.
The Hopper Family, Victoria Hopper and Sally Hopper, our Directors, Bonita Bingham Creech and Robin Reese, and our staff express condolences to the family and friends of Roscoe Bingham .
During the ongoing pandemic, we strongly encourage everyone attending services for Mr. Bingham to wear a mask and maintain a social distance of six feet apart.
