Roy Dean West Jr. age 46, of Tye Bend, Barbourville was born on July 14, 1969 at the Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto, Rico. He was a son of Roy Dean West and Eiko Suzuki West. Roy died Friday, December 11, 2015 in the Barbourville Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church. Roy was a Legal Assistant with the law firm of Millward and Castle. He was a devoted son, father, and brother. He loved fishing, hunting, being outdoors, living life to the fullest. His greatest loves, however, were his daughters.

He is survived by his beloved daughters; Cassidy Elizabeth and Lindsey Dean both of Barbourville; his dear parents; Roy Dean and Eiko of Tye Bend; his brother; George West and wife, Jenny of Artemus; loving Aunts; Bonnie West Kimble of Maysville, Kentucky; Yvonne West Millward and husband, Guy of Swan Pond; his dear Japanese Aunts and Uncles; Shohe Suzuki and wife, Toshiko; Yoshiko Hi Raii, Chiyoko Takahashi, Yoko Yashda and husband, Masanori; and many cousins both here and in Japan.

Funeral Services for Roy Dean West Jr. will be conducted at the
Swan Pond Baptist Church, Monday, December 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm with
Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Faulkner
Chapel Cemetery at Swan Pond, with Sam Castle, Robert Kimble, James Jolly, Tyler Ellison, Ben Bright, Todd Richardson, Samuel Smith and
Jonathan Evans serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be
staff at Millward and Castle Law Firm.

Friends will be received at the Swan Pond Baptist Church, Monday after 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
