Sarah Jean Woods, age 80, of Hazard, KY passed away on January 29, 2015 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Phillip Fox and the late Sally York Fox, born to them on November 3, 1934. Mrs. Woods was a member & deacon Hazard Christian Church, member of DAR, Red Hat Society, volunteer at the Hazard ARH and retired teacher from the Perry County School System. She is also preceded in death by one brother: Phil Fox.

She is survived by her husband: Ivan Wesley Woods; two sons: Paul (Madona Rhnea) Woods & Patrick Neil (Kaye) Woods both of Hazard, KY; one daughter: Paula Jean (Ken) Spitzler of TN; one sister: Mary Pauline Fox of Pikeville, KY; sister-in-law: Joyce Fox of Corbin, KY; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Funeral Services for Sarah Jean Woods will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 2, 2015 in the Maggard Mountain View Chapel in Hazard with Ben Fugate officiating.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral Home.

Burial will follow on Monday, February 2, 2015 in the Barbourville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the Homeless Shelter- Community Ministries.
