Obituary

Scott Mills, age 52, of Artemus, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a son of Pat Walters Mills and the late Columbus Mills Jr., born to them on March 10, 1965 in Barbourville.

Scott was a Coal Miner, and was Baptized at the Artemus First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Columbus Mills Jr. on February 2, 2011; and by his grandparents: Columbus Mills Sr. and Axie Jordan Mills, and Earl Walters and Beulah Hayes Walters.

He is survived by his loving family: His mother Pat Walters Mills of Artemus, his two daughters Ashley Hammons and Jessica Mills, and his grandchildren. His three brothers David Mills, Dennnis Mills and Mark Mills and wife, Melinda all of Artemus, and his sister: Sandy Elswick and fiance' Elandon Hughes of Artemus, and many special aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Scott Mills will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 19, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Orville Taylor, Bro. Chad Ferguson and Bro. Randy Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Anderson Elswick, Jordan Elswick, Keatton Ferguson, Dalton Ferguson, Chris Mills and Chris Daily.

Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Chad Ferguson, Jared Ferguson, Doug Taylor, Jimmy Walters, Danny Garland, Randy Garland, Chad Mills, William "Tigger" Logan and Kurt Hinkle.

The Mills family will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Hopper Funeral Home, and on Sunday after 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
