Obituary

Barbourville, Ky. – Mrs. Shirley Davis , 74, passed away, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Barbourville ARH Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Lillian M. Stewart and Woodrow Smallwood born on January 1, 1947.

Shirley was a homemaker and a loving mother who sacrificed every day for her children.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Perhaps nothing gave Shirley more joy throughout her life, as did playing with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Nettie Slusher; a son-in-law, Daniel Medlin Jr., and grandchildren: Whitley Medlin and Gary Medlin.

Survivors include her beloved children: Carmen Branstutter, Shannon Morgan, and Shane Partin (wife Lesa), all of Barbourville. Her siblings: sisters, Geneva Smallwood and Catherine Hubb both of Barbourville and brothers: Cephas David Smallwood (wife Karen) of Tennessee, and Tony Smallwood (wife Debbie) of Louisville also survive Shirley and will miss her dearly. Grandchildren: Samantha Corey (fiancé Michael), Joshua Corey, Brooklyn Young (husband Anthony), Matthew Morgan (wife Haley), Zachary Morgan, and Lily-Ann Faith Partin and great grandchildren: Maverick Brock, Carson Young, Jaxon Medlin, Bentley Medlin and an unborn great grandchild Matthew Baley-Rich Morgan, along with nieces, Tisha Utterback Brown (husband Jonathan) and Chasity Smallwood and nephews, William Smallwood, Mark Smallwood (wife Zilfa), Christopher Huff, and Jamie Huff will remember her fondly.
