Thelma Marie Powers, age 83, of Bryant's Store passed away Thursday December 6, 2018 at Continue Care Hospital, Corbin. She was born on July 22, 1935 to the late Easom McKeehan and Leona Miller McKeehan at Bryant's Store, KY. She was United in marriage to the late H.D. Powers and to this union two sons were born. She was a homemaker and a member of Little Buffalo Baptist Church and also attended Little Popular Creek Baptist Church later on. One of her favorite things to do was to play music.

She was preceded in death by her husband H.D. Powers, her parents Easom McKeehan  and Leona Miller McKeehan, her two sons James Elmer Powers and Lonnie Ray Powers, by a brother Walter McKeehan and a sister Gladys Reeves.

Survivors include her brothers, Easom McKeehan, Jr. of Bryant's Store and Charles "Blue" McKeehan and wife Rita of Louisville, KY, her sisters Hazel Matlock of Bryant's Store, her grandchildren Michael Powers of Whitley County and Jessica Powers of Williamsburg, her nephews Danny McKeehan of London, David McKeehan, Gary McKeehan and wife Shirley, Larry Mckeehan and wife Betty and Buster Matlock wife Debbie all of Bryant's Store, her nieces Brenda Lane and husband Lonnie of Columbia, KY,Gail Feltner of London and a special friend J.W. Carnes of Michigan. Plus many other dear nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbors to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Thelma Marie Powers will 2:00 P.M. Sunday December 9, 2018 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Rose and Rev. Bill Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Powers Cemetery at Powers Branch with family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Hopper Funeral Home.
