Wanda Marie Collinsworth age 88, of
Barbourville, was born on January 14, 1925 in Harlan, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Ralph Byrd and Cordie Gilbert Byrd. Wanda died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in the Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pineville,
Kentucky. Wanda was a member of the
Barbourville First Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Thomas Edward Collinsworth and to this union two sons were born. Along with her husband, Tom, a son, Thomas Wayne, great grandson, Jack Robert Collinsworth Jr., sisters; Mary Helen Hemphill, Verna Suttles, Peggy Wilhelm, brother, R.P. Byrd Jr. and daughter-in-law; Charlotte Lee Collinsworth all preceded her in death.

Wanda is survived by her son; David Collinsworth of Barbourville; a sister; Velma Bullard, of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Funeral Services for Wanda Marie Collinsworth will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Shane Nickell officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery, with Deacons of the Barbourville First Baptist Church serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Thursday after 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
