William Logan Hampton, husband of Patricia Osten Hampton, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

Born in Barbourville, KY, he was the son of the late Edward and Daisy Bain Hampton.

Mr. Hampton was a graduate of Artemus High School, Union College and the University of Kentucky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from the Kentucky Department of Education. Mr. Hampton was a Master Mason, and a member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors other than his wife include one daughter, Jane and son-in-law, James Herrick; two grandchildren, Charlie Herrick and Margaret Herrick, all of Versailles, KY; and two cousins, Louise James, Barbourville, KY and Charles Owens, Louisiana.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, October 21, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road with a Masonic Service at 7 pm.

Burial will be private.
