Obituary

Wilma Ruth Farmer Pate age 84,formerly of Knox County,
Kentucky, was born on April 18, 1932 at Swan Pond.
She was a daughter of the late Earl Farmer and Ethel
Detherage Farmer. Ruth died Tuesday, September 13, 2016
at her daughter's home in Park Hills, Kentucky.
She was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church
at Heidrick. On August 6, 1955, she united in marriage
to Joseph Manley Pate. Along with her parents, and husband,
Joseph, Ruth was preceded in death by; son, Donnie Joe Pate,
daughters, Patricia Ann Pate Mahan and Margie Sue Pate;
sisters; Hester Farmer, Ella Mae Chitwood and Rose Farmer;
and brother,Joe Farmer.

Ruth is survived by her daughters; Barbara Golden and husband,
Verlan Golden Jr. of Kay Jay; Coi Wild and husband, Jeff of
Park Hills, Kentucky; son; Terry L. Pate and wife, Dana
of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandchildren; Michelle Lee Ledbetter and
companion, Ronnie Butler, Joe Golden, Crystal Garland; Justin
Michael Mahan and fiance', Natasha Deaton; Kayla Evans,
Scott Evans, Jessica Pate and Daisy Lawson Mahan;
her great grandchildren; Korey Garland,Devin Golden,
Peyton Mahan Miracle; London Evans;
and baby Mahan arriving in January 2017;brothers;
Russell Farmer and wife, Dora Sue of Swan Pond;
Harold Farmer of Louisville; and her son-in-law;
Michael Mahan of Barbourville.

Funeral Services for Wilma Ruth Farmer Pate will
be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday,
September 17, 2016 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Denvil Taylor
officiating. Burial will follow in the Faulkner Chapel
Cemetery at Swan Pond, with family members and friends
serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the
Hopper Funeral Home Saturday after 12:00 noon until the
funeral hour at 3:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge
of all arrangements.
